| Toulouse came to the rescue when a concerned person called us about him. She had been feeding him for awhile and said he was very friendly. After checking with neighbors and not finding an owner, we were called. Toulouse was a mess. He was filthy dirty, full of fleas, and even had dried oil or tar on his paws and whiskers. After a bath (which he really wasn't bad for) and some brushing and flea treatment, Toulouse was put in our cat room. He ate a little and then snuggled down in a nice new cat bed for the first warm, dry, comfortable sleep he'd probably had in quite awhile. Within days, he was mingling with the people who were taking care of him and happily purring. He went to a foster home, where his foster mom and children have said he is a really sweet boy. Toulouse's fur is becoming softer and more plentiful and he is out playing with toys and meeting mom's other cats and dogs. He seems as if he would fit easily into most homes. He is great with the kids, with the other cats, and also with a small dog. Foster mom thinks he would do much better in a home with another cat or cat friendly dog. She doesn't feel he'd do well as an only. Toulouse is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested.
